Thomas Surwald
Group CEO, SYSTABUILD
Thomas is responsible for the strategic direction of the group, from M&A through to scaling. The focus is on the long-term partnership with the companies in the group.
"Our task as a group is to give the partner companies what they need for their further growth: shared technology, broader market access and a clear perspective. The knowledge their customers rely on is something the partner companies bring themselves."
Jennifer shapes the finance, governance and people perspective of the group. This includes financial transparency, reliable planning and a culture that encourages entrepreneurial thinking.
"When a company grows, finance and organisation have to keep pace. That is what we ensure as a group, with clear figures and stable processes, so that the partner companies can concentrate on their customers."
Swen represents the product and technology perspective of the group. His focus is on end-to-end data flows and shared technology and product standards along the digital value chain.
"We are creating a shared technical foundation that lets the partner companies bring new features and modern technologies such as AI into their solutions faster."
DigiPara has been developing BIM software for the planning and configuration of elevators and escalators since 1989. Elevator manufacturers and architects in more than 130 countries use it to create drawings and 3D models fully automatically.
SEMA is the first partner company of the group and has been developing software for timber construction, stair construction and sheet metal processing for more than 40 years. The solutions range from 3D design and manufacturing through to calculation, time tracking and invoicing. Today more than 11,000 customers plan and produce with it — from the carpenter to industrial prefabricated timber construction.
GLASER has been developing CAD software for civil engineering since 1978. The solutions cover the design of structures in concrete and steel construction, from 2D and 3D design through to BIM planning. Reinforcement, formwork and structural analysis planning interlock within a single solution.
From calculation to invoicing: Husemann & Fritz has been developing the ERP software Pro-Bau/S for construction companies for more than 30 years, used by more than 16,000 people every day. Commercial management in the office and technical execution on site run on a shared data basis, extended on mobile by a dedicated construction app.
Compass Software has been developing software for stair construction since 1982 — from CAD design and 3D visualisation through to CNC manufacturing. In timber construction, the company processes data from different CAD systems and drives machines from various manufacturers.
E-KOMPLET brings together quotation, order processing, time tracking and accounting for trade businesses in one cloud-based solution. More than 1,000 businesses, from electricians to painters, manage their jobs with it.
"We contribute a cloud-based product and SaaS delivery to the Orchestrate area. Added to that is deep technical knowledge and customer insight from many industries."
Network Dimensions has been developing and implementing industry-specific end-to-end software solutions since 1997. For the construction and building trades, the construction ERP solution MEGABAU is at the centre. The company advises, implements the software, provides training and supports it in day-to-day operation.
Manufacturers of windows, doors and kitchens manage sales, production and finance in a single software with Acies, from product configuration through to manufacturing. The company brings more than 40 years of industry experience to this.
"We combine proven systems with modern cloud software and have been using AI for years to develop our systems and the processes of our customers further. With our sales and production control for manufacturers, we contribute an important foundation for further growth to the group. For us, people come first, because good results follow from that."
More than 2,700 Swiss companies in construction and trade handle their administration with the SORBA all-in-one solution, from project set-up through to accounting. SORBA has been developing the software for more than 35 years and aligns it with the requirements of Swiss construction.
With Powerbird, Hausmann Wynen has been developing specialised software for electrical and building services companies since 1983. More than 5,200 customers use it, from calculation and accounting through to mobile apps.
